Be the heart of the game: Volunteer for FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Vancouver

Today, FIFA launches the FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Program registration, inviting individuals around the globe to apply for roles across all 16 Host Cities. The City of Vancouver is joining the call encouraging anyone interested in volunteering in Vancouver to apply now at: volunteer.fifa.com. Vancouver is looking for volunteers whose energy and commitment embody the spirit of the tournament.

Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver Sonic ID remix drops today

Music has always been a vital part of the FIFA World Cup™, and for the 2026 edition, it will reach new heights. For the first time in FIFA history, each host city has partnered with a local producer to remix the tournament’s theme and infuse the distinct rhythm, vibe and cultural essence of their location. Each remix will feature on an anthology that showcases the diversity and creativity of the host regions, offering fans a unique auditory journey through the tournament’s 16 locations worldwide.

The City of Vancouver is advancing plans to make the National Soccer Development Centre on the University of British Columbia’s campus a Venue-Specific Training Site for the FIFA World Cup 26 Vancouver™ (FWC26).

Vancouver kicks-off development on FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver training site at Killarney Park

Beginning in January 2025, the Vancouver Park Board, in partnership with the City of Vancouver, will begin construction to transform Killarney Park into a Venue-Specific Training Site (VSTS) for the FIFA World Cup 26 Vancouver™. Construction is expected to be completed by December 2025. To support its use during the tournament and facilitate post-event restorations, the site will remain closed to the public until fall 2026.

UPDATED: Calling all BC artists: Design the official FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver™ Host City Poster!

On August 26, the FIFA World Cup 26 Vancouver™ Host Committee announces an exciting opportunity for British Columbia’s artistic community. Talented BC artists are asked to submit their designs for the official Vancouver Host City Poster for the FIFA World Cup 26™. This is a chance for one BC artist to shine on a global stage and visually represent Vancouver during one of the most anticipated sporting events of 2026. The selected artist will receive $25,000 for their design and their work will become a lasting symbol of Vancouver’s historic role in hosting the world’s biggest World Cup ever.

With just two years to go, the City of Vancouver revealed the location of the highly anticipated FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver™ to be Hastings Park, also known as the PNE. Overlooking beautiful Burrard Inlet with stunning panoramic views of the North Shore mountains, the site will be the best place to watch your favourite teams play without a match ticket, come 2026. Imagine watching Canada on the big screen of the new amphitheatre with thousands of others.

Today, FIFA revealed the match schedule for the FIFA World Cup 26™ and Vancouver will be hosting a total of seven matches come 2026, including five group stage matches and two knockout round matches – round of 32 and round of 16, a huge win for Vancouver.
