UPDATED: Calling all BC artists: Design the official FIFA World Cup 26 Vancouver™ Host City Poster!
*NEW* There are now two ways to submit to the FIFA World Cup 26Vancouver™ Host City poster contest.
After feedback from the professional design community, we have added a second intake stream for submissions to allow interested professional artists or designers to submit a portfolio of their past work rather than a completed poster design. Artists and designers can now either submit a completed poster design or a design portfolio with three pieces of their past works and a design concept statement. For those who submit the portfolio option, they will only be required to submit a poster if they are selected as a finalist. Additionally, the required supporting presentation will only be required of the finalists, to reduce work required by all artists. Submissions will be due Oct.25, and the winner will receive $25,000 CAD and the four-runners up will each receive $1,500 CAD. As a result of this change, the deadline for the Expression of Interest has been extended to September 27,2024. If you are interested, visit our Bid Opportunities page.

On August 26, the FIFA World Cup 26 Vancouver™ Host Committee announces an exciting opportunity for British Columbia’s artistic community. Talented BC artists are asked to submit their designs for the official Vancouver Host City Poster for the FIFA World Cup 26™. This is a chance for one BC artist to shine on a global stage and visually represent Vancouver during one of the most anticipated sporting events of 2026. The selected artist will receive $25,000 for their design and their work will become a lasting symbol of Vancouver’s historic role in hosting the world’s biggest World Cup ever.
To design the FIFA World Cup 26™ Host City Poster, the Vancouver Host City Committee is seeking an expression of interest from BC artists by September 20, who can apply on the Business Opportunities page of this website. Submissions will be due October 25 and judged by a Vancouver-based panel who will submit the top five finalists to FIFA for final decision. Once selected, the Host Committee will award the finalist $25,000CAD and the four runners-up will each receive $1,500CAD for their submissions.
This iconic poster will capture the spirit of the event and celebrate Vancouver's unique contribution to the FIFA World Cup 26™. Artists are encouraged to showcase their creativity and originality in this high-profile competition, creating a design that embodies the city's rich cultural and Indigenous history and represents the pride and excitement of the 2026 tournament. The winning design will not only be featured globally but will also serve as a cherished memento of Vancouver’s role in this event.
