Will any roads be closed?

All major roads in the area will stay open. Miller Road will be closed to vehicle traffic to support safe event operations, but it will remain open to pedestrians. Cyclists can plan alternate routes using Vancouver’s digital cycling map vancouver.ca/cyclingmap.

Local traffic controls, curb lane restrictions and temporary changes to on‑street parking will help manage traffic around the PNE.

Will there be increased bus or SkyTrain capacity?

Transit service to the area will increase to support the Festival. HandyDART service will continue for pre‑booked trips. More information about event-related services changes will be shared later this spring. For planning and real‑time updates, visit translink.ca.

How will ride‑hailing or taxis be managed?

Ride‑hailing and taxi services will use a designated pick‑up and drop‑off area. This helps reduce traffic on nearby residential streets. Passengers will be directed to the correct location through each ride hailing app’s in-app instructions and on‑site signs.

Is there a place to park my personal bike, Lime Scooter or Mobi bike?

A free, secure bike valet will be available at two locations:
• Callister Park at Renfrew Street and Cambridge Street
• Hastings Park at Pender Street and Lillooet Street

Shared mobility providers, including Lime and Mobi, will have designated parking areas. Riders can plan routes using Vancouver’s digital cycling map at vancouver.ca/cyclingmap.

How will the Festival reduce its environmental impact?

The Festival will have water‑refill stations to reduce single‑use plastics. All food vendors must use compostable or reusable containers. Along with reusable drinkware, waste‑sorting stations and on‑site support, these measures help welcome visitors while minimizing environmental impacts.

What are you doing about increased noise?

The City, the PNE, and experienced event partners have a plan to manage and reduce noise as much as possible.

Noise mitigation measures include:
• Sound levels similar to past major events
• Scheduling setup and cleanup at appropriate times
• A purpose‑built amphitheatre with acoustic features, including a mass‑timber roof, an acoustic sound wall, landscape buffering, and optimized speaker placement.

These measures help balance a lively Festival atmosphere with consideration for the surrounding neighbourhood.

Which public spaces will be temporarily closed or have access changed during the event?

The Hastings Skateboard Park, Miller Drive, Momiji Gardens and the Italian Garden will be temporarily closed. Temporary closures and reduced‑access areas will begin at the end of May and continue until the end of July to allow for site set up and removal.

The Sanctuary will generally remain open throughout the event but access will be limited during the Festival. It will be open daily from dawn to dusk but will close outside these hours for safety and operations.

Are there alternative skateparks that can be used during this time?

Yes. Skatepark users are encouraged to use any of Vancouver’s skateparks during this period. A full list is available at: Skateboard parks | City of Vancouver.

How will the Festival affect businesses located on the PNE grounds?

The PNE is working closely with tenants, including CircusWest, PWHL, Rolla Skate Club and Hastings Park Childcare Centre to facilitate access during the Festival period. More information will be shared directly to the tenants via the PNE.
