Fans filled the streets, gathered at FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver and marched toward the stadium. They arrived from across the city and around the world, bringing their flags, their voices and their love of the game.
This is our letter to everyone who made the moment possible.
To the fans from near and far, and the locals who welcomed them,
We built the stages.
Opened the gates.
Made space to come together.
But it was never us.
It was you.
You brought the flags.
The chants.
The nerves.
The goals that brought us to our feet.
You turned strangers into friends.
A march to the stadium into a memory.
A city into one shared heartbeat.
You filled Vancouver with something no plan could ever create:
Collective joy.
Across cultures and generations, you showed us what the Beautiful Game can do.
And maybe somewhere in the crowd, a young fan began to dream a little bigger.
We set the scene.
But you made the moment.
